EventSage is built to help event businesses run well and treat their clients and crews right. This policy lists what you can't do with EventSage. It's part of our Terms of Service and applies to every account owner, teammate, staff member and client who uses the Service. If you break it, we may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close the account.
Run a legitimate business
Don't use EventSage to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one;
- offer, sell or promote illegal goods or services, or services you aren't licensed to provide;
- serve or sell alcohol without the licenses, permits, insurance and trained staff your state and venue require, or to serve minors or visibly intoxicated guests;
- mislead clients about prices, fees, taxes, surcharges or what's included;
- collect payments for events you don't intend to deliver, or for anyone other than your own business;
- process payments for businesses Stripe prohibits under its restricted businesses list.
Email and outreach
- Only email people who gave you their contact details, have done business with you, or whom you're allowed by law to contact.
- Don't send spam, purchased or scraped lists, or misleading subject lines or sender names.
- Keep the unsubscribe link in marketing and follow-up emails and honor opt-outs. Don't re-add people who unsubscribed.
- Include your business's physical mailing address in marketing emails, as US law requires.
- Review AI-drafted outreach before it goes out. You're the sender.
Respect people's data
- Collect only what you need from clients and staff, and tell them how you'll use it.
- Don't enter full Social Security numbers, full tax ID numbers, payment card numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, or health information beyond the allergy and dietary details needed for an event.
- Use clock-in location only to confirm attendance at events. Tell your staff you use it, and follow your state's rules on employee monitoring.
- Don't use EventSage to stalk, harass, profile or discriminate against anyone.
- Don't share client portal, contract or payment links with people who shouldn't have them.
Content
Don't upload, send or store content that:
- infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights, including contracts or templates you don't have permission to use;
- is threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or violent;
- impersonates another person or business;
- contains malware or harmful code.
Protect the Service
Don't:
- try to access accounts, data or systems you aren't authorized to use;
- probe, scan or test our security without written permission (report issues to support@eventsage.io instead);
- overload or disrupt the Service, or get around rate limits, seat limits, plan limits or AI credit limits;
- scrape, copy or reverse engineer the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- resell, sublicense or share accounts, except by inviting teammates through the seats on your plan;
- use AI features to generate content that breaks this policy, or try to get around their safeguards.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks this policy, email support@eventsage.io. We may update this policy and will post changes here.
