Guide to venues

Learn how saving a venue once gives each event its address, a staff brief and an optional sales tax.

The short version

Most of your events happen at places you have worked before. A saved venue holds what you learned there once, so each new event starts with a real address, load-in details for your staff and, if you want one, a sales tax to apply. The Venues page lists them in a grid or a list. You can search by name, city or address, filter by type, and your favorites sit first.

The Venues page listing saved venues with search, a type filter and the New venue button.
01

Add a venue

Only the name is required. Add the address, the venue type and a contact now or later. On an event you pick the venue from your library, and the event copies its address. Add a venue covers the dialog, importing a list, and archiving or deleting.

02

Record what staff need

Operations & policies holds load-in instructions, parking, house rules and what the venue requires, such as a Certificate of Insurance. Staff with a live shift read it on their event page, and you can share a floor plan or photo with them too. Save load-in notes and house rules for a venue lists every field and shows what staff see.

03

Set the sales tax

A venue can hold a tax that its events are offered in one click. Picking the venue never changes an event's price by itself. Set a venue's sales tax covers the picker and what the click recalculates.
