Add a bundle to a quote more than once

Put one bundle on a quote several times, each copy with its own guest count and unit price, in the calculator or after the event is booked.

The short version

Add a second copy of a bundle when one bundle sells at different quantities or prices on the same event. A signature cocktail priced at $4 for 200 guests, $3.50 for 200 more and $3 for the rest is three copies of one bundle. Each copy has its own guest count and unit price, and the quote totals them. You can do this in the calculator, and after booking from the add-on dialog.

01

Before you start

  • The bundle is not a core bundle. A core bundle cannot be copied, because it is already in every quote.
  • For a copy priced per guest, the event has a guest count. A copy cannot cover more guests than the event has.

Add a copy in the calculator

  1. Open the Calculator and tick the bundle in Packages & services. Click Quantity and price under the bundle to open its panel.
  2. For the first copy, set Guests if it covers fewer than the whole event. Leave it blank to use all of them.
  3. Set Unit price. It is labeled for how the bundle sells, such as per guest or per set. Leave it blank to use the price the bundle calculates.
  4. Click Add another copy.
  5. Give the copy a Label so you can tell it apart. Set its guests, sets or stations, and its Unit price.
  6. Repeat for each copy. Click Customize on a copy to change what it holds without touching the others.

Each copy shows its own total, and the quote adds them. To drop one, click the trash icon on its row.

The copies panel under a selected bundle in the calculator, with Guests, Unit price and the Add another copy button.

Add a copy after booking

  1. Open the booked event. On its Overview tab, click Add add-on.
  2. In Offering, search for the bundle and pick it.
  3. Under Price as its own copy, fill in Name on the quote, Guests served if the bundle is priced per guest, and the price. Leave every field blank to add the bundle as it is priced today.
  4. Check the preview, then click Add add-on. Tick Create a draft invoice first if you want one for the new amount.

What a copy changes

Prices.
Each copy bills at its own unit price. A price you type changes your margin and never your cost.
Lists and stock.
A copy's quantity feeds the packing list, shopping list and inventory demand.
Crew.
A copy is a whole copy, so its crew comes with it. A bundle staffed by a fixed count keeps that count on every copy. A bundle whose crew scales with guests re-sizes at the copy's own guests. If you do not want crew repeated, leave staffing out of a bundle you will copy. When you add a copy after booking to a bundle already on the event, its crew bills in full.
Proposals and order pages.
A copy is its own named line there, and the client ticks it on or off.

Something look off?

Work through each check in order. Most fixes take under a minute.

Add another copy is missing
  1. 1 · The bundle is a core bundle. Core bundles cannot be copied.
  2. 2 · The bundle is not selected on the quote yet. Pick it first.
A guest count will not go in
  1. 1 · A guest count cannot pass the event's guests. Type a smaller number.
  2. 2 · For more than the event holds, add a copy counted in sets instead of guests.
  3. 3 · If the box says to set the event's guests first, open the event and enter its guest count.
