Every price you quote starts with an item, and each item holds what you pay for it. Recipes combine items into a serving, so you can see what one drink or one plate costs you. Get the costs right here and bundles and quotes price themselves from them.
Add your items
Open Items under Libraries in Settings. The list shows each Item with its Sub-category, Used in, Cost and Price. Add makes a new item, and the category you pick decides how it is priced. Add an item to track in inventory walks through the form. If your costs already sit in a spreadsheet, Import brings them in at once, and Import items from a spreadsheet explains how it treats duplicates.
Replace guessed costs
A cost EventSage guessed carries a mark, and so does a cost of $0. The Estimated and Needs a cost pills above the list gather them. A guessed cost flows into every quote that uses the item, so update each with the true figure. Used in shows which bundles and recipes a change reaches. Replace guessed costs on your items shows how the marks clear.
Track stock and set a store
An item shows on Inventory once you file it to a storage location or mark it owned or rented. Inventory is part of the Pro and Team plans. The item's default store sorts your shopping lists. Add an item to track in inventory and Set the store you buy an item from cover each.
Build a recipe
Open Recipes in the Libraries group of the sidebar. New recipe opens a page where you pick ingredients from your items and set quantities. The cost per serving works out from your item costs. Browse Library holds ready-made recipes you can copy. Build a recipe covers both.
Clear out items
Archiving keeps an item's history, and Show archived brings retired items back. Selecting items and choosing Delete tells you first which will be deleted, which archived and which left alone. A recipe is never deleted from there. Import items from a spreadsheet covers starting the catalog over.
