The short version

A proposal template is a reusable Dynamic proposal. It holds the page's blocks, a payment schedule, a contract and your colors, so each new proposal starts mostly done and the client can book from it.

01

Before you start

  • Build the bundles the template will sell. Create a bundle shows how.
  • A payment schedule and a contract of its own are optional. A template that names none follows your account default. Create a contract template covers the contract.
02

Create the template

  1. Open Proposal templates, under Documents in Settings. The Dynamic tab is open.
  2. Click New template and choose Dynamic proposal. A Lookbook has no pricing. Designed hands you to the design editor, which Save a designed proposal as a template covers.
The New template dialog asking what kind of document to make, with Lookbook, Dynamic proposal and Designed choices.
  1. Choose From a starter, From blank or Clone existing, fill in the fields it shows, and click Create proposal. A starter's layout keeps your brand colors and fonts. The block editor opens.
  2. Or choose From your PDF to read a brochure into blocks. It shows the credit cost first, and your first import is free.
03

Add the blocks

  1. Click Add your first block, then use the add control between blocks to insert more.
  2. Add an Investment option block for each bundle a client can choose. In Package, pick the bundle. Its price and contents come from it. Offer template sets staffing, add-ons, services and the discount.
  3. Add Enhancements for add-ons a client can tick.
  4. Add one Reserve block so the client can book. A second is refused with "This proposal already has a Reserve block."
  5. In Reserve, set What the client pays at Reserve to The first payment of the payment schedule, A flat deposit or Payment in full.
  6. Click Preview to check it, then Save.
04

Set what its proposals start with

  1. Click Settings on the template's card to open "Template settings".
  2. Pick a Payment schedule and a Contract. Both start on "Account default".
  3. Under Brand colors and fonts, override only what this template needs.
  4. Click Save.
05

What a proposal copies

A proposal copies the schedule, contract and colors once, when it is created. Changing the template later never changes proposals already made.

With Auto-send on accept on, a client who reserves gets the contract, signs, then pays, and payment books the event. It is off by default, and Reserve then goes straight to the deposit. It needs a default contract template unless this template names its own. Send the contract when a client reserves a date covers it. A proposal shows no tax. The invoice carries it.

06

Use the template

  • Pick it under Or start from a template when you start a new proposal.
  • Get a link on its card makes a live lead form. Each lead who fills it in is emailed the proposal, so test it with your own address.
  • A routing rule on your lead form picks the template for each inquiry. Send new leads a proposal automatically covers it.
